Las Vegas, Nevada (June 30, 2011) – In less than seven hours, Buca di Beppo successfully increased its Facebook Likes from 66,000 to 100,000 in a tremendous response to its Social Media Day promotion that combined traditional e-mail marketing with the world’s leading social media platform.
Buca di Beppo launched its Social Media Day campaign via Facebook, Twitter and through its email database of over one million subscribers. The goal was to reach 100,000 likes on its Facebook page by June 30, with the prize being a $10 reward certificate to all of its eClub members. Launched on June 22 at 11:30 a.m. (PST), the response was immediate with the page adding 14,000 likes in the first hour and hitting the 100,000 milestone later that day at 6:30 p.m. (PST).
“With a limited number of locations, generous family-style portions and house made sauces and recipes, Buca di Beppo is a national brand that feels like a neighborhood restaurant,” said Kyle Collins, Director of Interactive Marketing at Planet Hollywood International Inc., the parent company of Buca di Beppo. “With this online initiative we were able to engage that strong affinity that people feel for our restaurants by encouraging them to connect and converse with us via social media. The result was immediate and powerful.”
In May, Buca di Beppo took to Twitter and gave away 14 graduation parties in 14 days as part of its re-tweet campaign rewarding high school and college graduates. As of June 29, 2011 Buca di Beppo’s Facebook page has over 129,000 likes, a 95% increase compared to one week ago.
